About

From Haʻehaʻe to Lehua, the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement is partnering with Kamehameha Schools to elevate and support the development of our emerging ʻōiwi leaders in our community through the Empowering ʻŌiwi Leadership Award.

As kānaka ʻōiwi, we are a vibrant and diverse people who have carved our way in this world through generations of innovation and resiliency. Although we each hold a different set of skills, knowledge, and talents, we are all connected through a kuleana placed forth by our kūpuna, to mālama and move our people forward.
