Retired firefighter from Maui county and currently a kuaaina living a sustainable lifestyle infuse with kanaka maoli ancestral practices.
Raised and live on Molokai from time of birth till now, with 3 years of military service and 3 years living and working in Alaska.

Why is the work that you do important to you? The community?

It’s a healing journey for me the aina and all that I’m in contact with.

Share with us the qualities of leadership you admire and how you express those in your life.

Growing up on Molokai and being able to see and live with ohana on Hawaiian homestead lands and ohana that are deeply rooted to manae side of Molokai and how the kupuna of that time were the leaders of the families. Aloha was the governing rod that kept families safe, happy, respectful and passing of knowledge on a spiritual kaohu a that is not common today. Living aloha is a way of life through mahiai laau lapaau that ensures my action of pono hana.
