I am 39 years old from Kohala on the Big Island. I have been working with Hale Kipa for 3 years now, currently as a Case Manager for the emergency shelter program and I love and enjoy my job. I am a mother to our beautiful daughter name Arriana who is 8 years old and who is very smart. I have a loving girlfriend who is currently in the military and who provides me and my family many opportunities to travel the world. I am very thankful for the life I have; I have a great career, great family, and a great life.

Why is the work that you do important to you? The community?

I get to help youths who are struggling for different reason (victim of different forms of abuse, mental health issues/disorders, abandonment, in the foster care, trouble with the law, etc.).

Share with us the qualities of leadership you admire and how you express those in your life.

Qualities of leadership I admire are ones who genuinely cares to see success, healing, mending relationships, and growth in people. I admire leaders who leads people in the right direction and not leaders who just bosses their employees or people around without meaning or purpose and just want to be bossy. I like leaders who want tot see change happen and work hard doing so. I like leaders who shows their patroon through their work by portraying what they really feel and how and who they are for!

Who has inspired you to do the work that you are doing?

Passion, my boss, my mom, family and my coworkers.
