Born and raised on the island of Moloka'i. Father of two beautiful daughters, Laila (18) and Laisha-Dayze (12). In 2009, I was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), and attend dialysis since. Since 2009, I took up archery/bow hunting. I am a volunteer instructor with DLNR's Hunter's Education program for hunting license. I received my Bow Hunter's certification and my NASP Basic Archery Instructor certificate, which I teach through 21st Century at Kaunakakai Elementary after school program. In 2014, I started my own company, DJ Dezines, and founded the DEER:THIRTY brand. I am looking to expand my branding, and come up with other brandings in the near future. I am also a member of The Molokai Hunting Club. I want to bring awareness to ethical hunting practices, hunter safety, alternative hunting methods, and proper game management and habitat restoration.

Why is the work that you do important to you? The community?

Through my business and personal experiences, I want to educate and bring awareness to safe ethical hunting practices, hunter safety, alternative hunting methods, proper game management, and habitat restoration. It is important to Moloka'i because it is significantly a part of our culture and lifestyle.....Farmer's of the Land and of the sea.
